Retraction

James Frey is a loser and a scumbag.

I regret backing him up.

My book is fiction and is sold that way....his should be too.

Every industry has scumbags that make the good guys look like assholes too.

Feeling Better...

Well, the sickness appears to be over now, and I am marching forward once again. I wanted to take a moment and update you on a few things...

1) Today is day 21 of non smoking, and day 23 not drinking. I have stopped smoking forever, but the dirnking cessation is temporary. Good for me.

2) I am no further in any of my novels. I know i know i know... I need to focus. I need to re-write my mantra: Think, Create, Tell the world.

Sent an email to SIRIUS today with an idea for a new show with me as the host. More to come there...

Always doing shit no one else would do is why someday you will be able to say you knew me when...

Quite possibly the most frightening SHIT I have ever read...

"The Federal Communications Commission is authorized to license radio and television broadcast stations and is responsible for enforcing the Commission's rules and applicable statutory provisions concerning the operation of those stations. The Commission's role in overseeing program content is very limited. The First Amendment to the United States Constitution and Section 326 of the Act prohibit the Commission from censoring program material and from interfering with broadcasters' freedom of expression.7 The Commission does, however, have the authority to enforce statutory and regulatory provisions restricting indecency and obscenity. Specifically, it is a violation of federal law to broadcast obscene or indecent programming. Title 18 of the United States Code, Section 1464, prohibits the utterance of ``any obscene, indecent or profane language by means of radio communication.''8 In addition, consistent with a subsequent statute and court case,9 Section 73.3999 of the Commission's rules provides that radio and television stations shall not broadcast indecent material during the period 6 a.m. through 10 p.m."

Why does this scare me? This is so vague they could easily throw the sheet of censorship over the waves of a satellite radio as well. Nowhere does it say "terrestrial" radio..simply radio communication.

News stories today, there are hearings going on right now to allow or not to allow the FCC to regulate satellite radio. If they do that, in my opinion...that industry may fall. Part of the refreshing thing about SIRIUS for me is the uncensored, unfiltered exercising of Free Speech. That very speech protected by the First Amendment.

If you can block the Howard Stern show, I mean lock it out so you cannot even hear it without the password to your receiver, wheres the harm in that. Why should the responsible parents who lock it out, who dont let there children hear it ( mine never hear it)..why should we be punished by the Fucking Cock Chewers...or the FCC.

Let me share something with you all. I was once a teenager. A horny one. One who liked women and the thought of seeing one naked. Without Cinemax...I would have had no idea what it looked like. To some, that is indecent....to me, it was the most amazing thing I have ever seen.

Whats the point here EJ, what are you saying? I am not here to talk about masturbating to Skinemax...I am talking about the lack of a parental lock feature in Cable TV today that allowed me to view that when I was so young. In addition...and in case you havent noticed...HBO, Showtime, Cinemax..all run programs that say FUCK, show people FUCKING, and we want that...why? Because in essence we are paying for it. If you want to watch a movie..but want it unedited...wait for it to appear on USA right? If you want the real deal, with the hot, steamy, Michael Douglas nailing Glen Close on the kitchen sink from Fatal Attraction..then you gotta go to the premier services.

HBO, SHOWTIME, CINEMAX, and SIRIUS...are no different. You cannot come after one premium service unless you go after the others. So, with that FCC..I say bring it on. Eventually you will try to take away a freedom that is important to the Republicans, or the religious right..then and only then will we hear anything about the FCC and their history of RAPING us of our free speech.

Fuck an A
(i have never understood what that meant...an O would feel better I would think)

to be fair....

I could hardly sleep last night because I have a picture of my daughter and not one of my son...

So...with that!!!!

heres Adam!!! Shown here in 2003 in his fathers Go-Kart. I used to race those things, we topped out about 55mph, doesnt sound too fast I know...but look at the size of that kart. It was a great experience, and one I am lucky I got to try.

I was after all the 2003 Michigan Sprint Champion....great story there..but you will have to wait for my memoirs.

High Tension: Review

High Tension. A french film, and it took me a few minutes to get over the dubbed english. But, it was only a distraction in the first scene...one of the few that is actually during the daylight hours. Once it turns dark, you just keep hoping it will be daylight soon. The movie is filled with parts that will have you chewing your fingernails right off, very suspensful, there is some gore...but its well placed. Its in fact quite gorey in a few scenes...one towards the start of the film, and one towards the end of the film. My mouth was wide open for about the last 15 minutes... This did in fact make the top 5 list of horror films..

If you haven't seen this flick....do it soon. But you have been warned.

enjoy :)

High Tension

I have rented a movie called high tension. a buddy of mine has chatted it up quit a bit. Knowing I am a fan of the horror genre, I am often inundated with THE horror movie to see. I will give you in my opinion the top 5 scariest films I have seen.... It may be a top six list soon...depends on how high the tension gets i guess.

1) Saw
2) The Silence of the lambs
3) Halloween
4) The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the remake actually)
5) Psycho (the original)

These are scary on different levels. TCM for example...you know its gonna be goofy...especially if you have seen the original one. But man, the sound of a chainsaw in the dark...gets me everytime. You have been to a haunted house...and the guy fires up the chainsaw...I am always the one looking for that son of a bitch, because if he gets behind me and starts it up....my heart would explode.......

Now that I am completely scared shitless, I will go watch High Tension...nice move Wasson.

Night all, Sweet dreams? doubt it.

a million little things....

Hey James Frye. Fuck them. You are an inspiration to millions of people, this author included. For that I thank you. I do see both sides of the coin on this, but i do agree with your statements on Larry King Live. "The essential truth is in tact".

I agree. If you havent read it yet. Get it...buy it...support James Frye and his book, "a million little pieces"

Secondly, it has now been 10 days without a cigarette. I have gotten hostile a few times at work..but hey..what do you want. Try quitting then you will know why its such a giant ass sucking experience.

Stern and Co. on SIRIUS is still mind blowing each day. It is so refreshing to hear people talk like people talk. No censors in real life...and none here either. Thanks XM and SIRIUS for giving this freedom to us... (buy SIRIUS)

I am not writing write now, partly due to my PC. It sucks...and keeps dying half way during a session and not giving me a chance to save it. More coming there though.....I promise. For now you can keep up with my writings at www.spoiledink.com/ejwasson

A nice site thats based out of the UK. It has brought me a lot of attention to both my poetry, and my novel. Enjoy all you find there.

For now, thats about all the time I have for you. Updates forthcoming...but you knew that.

Hope all is well....

Siriusly Amazing

Howard is rocking on SIRIUS. The king of all media has moved his circus to the satellites and it is awesome. If the 125 channels arent great, if your not an nfl fan, if you dont like national news, weather, and talk for every interest...then you have Howard Stern. If you dont like Howard...see all the other stuff you get?

I am not kidding around here. Get SIRIUS.

Also, I heard reports of the movement to get the FCC to monitor and regulate the content of satellite radio broadcasts...now before I explode..here are the rational arguments which make this a miserable idea.

1) There is a parental lock-out feature for each of the channels on the SIRIUS receivers.
2) It is a pay subscription, so if you dont want to hear something that may be questionable...dont buy it.
3) Sirius and XM have been in the air since 2001. 4 years and there has been no talk of it. But now that Howard has gone over, now...its an issue.

Ok, now it is time to blow up.

I am about to fucking vomit. I cannot believe the depths at which this faith based bullshit will go to take away our freedoms. We fight for freedoms all over the globe, but here at home the Government doesnt give us the freedoms to parent, to make good decisions, and they want to tell me what I can listen to? They want to tell me what is offensive.

FUCK THAT. That is complete horse shit, I will go absolutely ape shit if this gets at all close to being a reality. I will fight, I will create the biggest fucking protest of all time. And I want you to come along with me.....

We need to stand up against this BULLSHIT.

ok, I feel better

for now.

2006 is looking good already.....

The Browns are undefeated in 2006. The Bengals are winless. And though the season didnt go as well as i thought it would for my Cleveland Browns...6-10 aint too shabby for a new coach and a ton of injuries. As we always say...there is always next year.

Now for my 2006 New Years Resolutions:

1)Take one year off from the ingestion of alcoholic beverages.
2)Stop smoking (today...Jan 2nd is my last day)
3)Watch the diet, increase exercise, lose 35 pounds. The journey starts today...

Now I do realize that these are some of the biggest ones out there, and that this is not at all original. But in a way that makes it nice...think about it. Each day, we live completely different lives. And each year we all try to better ourselves...usually by following the same resolutions or variations thereof.

This big huge world we live in...is boiled down....to something very small when you think about it.

Two things to start off 2006: These are the things pissing me off right now:

Intelligent Design, and the way it is being thrown out there like a scientific fact. The religious right is trying to find a way to force their beliefs down our throats that much more.

The Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays debate: Listen, the reason this country was founded was Religious Freedom. (see this little thing called the 1st amendment) We are AMERICANS, not CHRISTIANS. Frankly, when you say Merry Christmas to a mass audience, all you do is alienate everyone who doesnt believe like you do. But, the Christians in this country, at least those who set themselves as leaders, say we are taking Christ out of Christmas. I dont agree with that, but the importance of Christmas is very different depending on who you are talking too(For Ex. Judaism, Muslim, Satanism) The Religious Right is so God Damned intolerant of others that it makes me sick. WHY DOES A RELIGION THAT PREACHES INCLUSION TO EVERYONE, WORK SO FUCKING HARD AT EXCLUDING EVERYONE. YOU ARE NOT SPECIAL. STOP ACTING LIKE YOU ARE.

Ok enough rambling.

Lets set our eyes on what makes this the greatest Country in the world...

With that I give you the First Amendment of the United States Constitution:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
