End the World Said Nothing

Its over.

The ability of people to purchase my novel has been removed.

It served a purpose...almost ruined my life...and I learned a lot. But, it is over.

If I write again, it will be done the right way. I have done a lot of thinking, a lot of growing up and am now able to see reality for what it is.

Writing is a hobby. I do it when it feels right, when I need to.

I will finish another novel. Probably not this year. Maybe not next. Sometime though, I will get back to it.

I am better served doing other things with my time than writing for myself.

Ultimately, the whole experience wasn't worth what I went through, and why keep hoping that will change?

I am a small time player, with some raw talent, but nothing more. Next time...it will be done right.

EJW CREATIONS...still exists. Its future is just on hold.

Getting Smaller. Nine Inch Nails

Getting a little erratic here
And I don't know who to trust
I guess they got a way of reading my mind
I guess I gotta adjust
Got my arms they flip flop flip flop flip
Got my head on a spring
Well I thought I got you on my side
I haven't got fucking anything

I'm just a face in the crowd
Nothing to worry about
Not even tryin' to stand out
I'm getting smaller and smaller and smaller
And I have nothing to say
It's all been taken away
I just behave and obey
I'm afraid I am starting to fade away

Uh-huh

I cannot see through the cracks
When I'm pressed up on the wall
I'm not looking to stand up real high
I'd be happy to crawl
I think I'm losing my grip
But I can still make a fist
You know I still got my one good arm
That I can beat...nnn, I can beat myself up with!

I'm just a face in the crowd
Nothing to worry about
Not even tryin' to stand out
I'm getting smallerAnd smaller and smaller
And I have nothing to say
Its all been taken away
I just behave and obey
I'm afraid I am starting to fade away

And for what it is worthI really used to believe
That maybe there's some great thing
That we could achieve
And now I cant tell the difference
Don't know what to feel
Between what I've been trying so hard to see
And what appears to be real

Fading awayFading awayFading awayFading away

My world is getting smaller everyday-yay-yay-yay-yay
My world is getting smaller everyday-yay-yay-yay-yay(and thats ok)
My world is getting smaller everyday-yay-yay-yay-yay
My world is getting smaller everyday-yay-yay-yay-yay(and thats ok)

Well, I still haven't grown tired of the new Thom Yorke album, in fact its haunting inside my head continues to grow. If you havent heard it, check it out right now. Unreal.

Radiohead has been in my all time top three bands for as long as I can remember..well, actually...I remember it very clearly. It was 2000 and I was in a Benigans in Blue Ash, Ohio. I had heard the tune once before, it was inside that bar also. The song was Optimistic. I walked over to the jukebox, and searched frantically for the now playing area. I saw it, i turned the pages feverishly to find out whatever number it had told me find. It was then I saw Radiohead. Kid A.

I had heard of Radiohead, but until that song, I had never known an actual song by them. Years later, as I was rounding out my collection..I found the song"Creep". An instantly recognizable tune, that I would have never associated with the groups later efforts. Radiohead is amazing.

I will admit that the first time you hear it, it is as if the songs are hidden inside of a fog. It is with each listen that the haunting grows, the fog fades, and you begin to absorb the lyrics of Thom Yorke. They toured this year lightly in the US. I missed them. They actually didnt come within 4 hours of me, and that is my concert radius I am willing to travel.

Unless, it's NIN. With Trent and CO., there is no limit to the miles I would travel to witness a NIN show.

I will look forward to the day I see Radiohead live. I will hope it happens.

Apparently, they have a new album coming out. The full cast of Radiohead, and not just Thom Yorke. In the mean time, The Eraser..by Thom Yorke is a nice appetizer to hold me over.

I am well.

Black Swan. Thom Yorke

What will grow quickly, that you can't make straight
It's the price you gotta pay
Do yourself a favour and pack you bags
Buy a ticket and get on the train
Buy a ticket and get on the train

Cause this is fucked up, fucked up
Cause this is fucked up, fucked up

People get crushed like biscuit crumbs
And laid down in the bed you made
You have tried your best to please everyone
But it just isn't happening
No, it just isn't happening

And it's fucked up, fucked up
And this is fucked up, fucked up
This your blind spot, blind spot
It should be obvious, but it's not.
But it isn't, but it isn't

You cannot kickstart a dead horse
You just crush yourself and walk away
I don't care what the future holds
Cause I'm right here and I'm today
With your fingers you can touch me

I'm your black swan, black swan
But I made it to the top, made it to the top

This is fucked up, fucked up
You are fucked up, fucked up
This is fucked up, fucked up

Be your black swan, black swan
I'm for spare parts, broken up

Geo-politically speaking

Is anyone else scared to death about this shit?

The violence in the WORLD is increasing in volume. The Israelis, The Lebanese, The Iranians, The North Koreans, The Americans....all showing military prowess.

No one wants to talk about it, lets just sit here and have a big giant cock-off and show who is bigger once and for all. Please...let cooler heads prevail. If thats even a possibility anymore.

Oil hit an all time high today, it peaked at over 78 dollars a barrel. Unreal. We as a nation are spread very thin anyway, let alone the N. Koreans and the Iranians do something. God forbid Iran and Lebanon and Syria pull an offensive on Israel. The United States will be forced to get involved. Forget not, that without the US, there would be no Israel. World War II brought about the Nazi Germans killing millions of Jews, and the Americans stepped in and said, here...lets kick the Palestinians out of here and we will call this your land. ISRAEL.

The Palestinians didnt take it lying down...and from that moment on, this has been brewing. Our allegiance with Israel, isn't one we will forsake. If Iran or Syria or any of the other countries who want to cut off our balls decide to get to us, it will be through Israel. A) It is easier to strike next door than half way around the world. B) The Israeli army is decent enough, but nothing compared to the ole' US of A.

North Korea. July 5th showed one thing. They have guts. I do not think they have any brains, but in a wartime situation...guts will get you pretty damn far. Now, it also showed that their long range missile was a fucking tinker toy, but they will not give up.

So enough bitching...what is the solution. Here in my completely uneducated opinion is how we handle this.

North Korea problem - Get Japan, China (you gotta get China), and South Korea in a room. Tell them we are going to go in and knock out the missiles and Kim Jong-Il. We may keep his glasses though. The problem there is China is still communist as is the North Koreans, so that deal will be tough to pull off. Shit, Nixon could have done it.

Iran - Russia is the problem here. We take Vladdy Putin, lock him in a room and tell him if he fucks with us, there will be no RUSSIA. Then we go after Iran. Bomb everything that looks like it is nuclear related.

Israel - We man the fuck up. Tell the world it wasnt fair, and give a portion of that area to the Palestinians. Then once again, you will have a Palestine. The Israelis wont like this, but Jesus Christ, if it wasnt for us, they wouldnt have what they got.

WHY THE US IS THE WORLD POLICE??????

As we are seeing play out in the many theaters of violence and trouble in the world, the USA is the only country who honestly cares about peace. Now, the ironic part of this whole deal is to get to peace, you have to kill some people. Weird, I know. I have seen many people with the bumper sticker that says "YOU CANNOT PREPARE FOR WAR AND PREACH PEACE AT THE SAME TIME" Thats not it exactly, but it is close. Though it is true to an extent, in a way...I am coming back around. I think that the world cannot run itself. Imperialism isn't dead, it just looks different today then it did in the past when that term was a bit more relevant.

Am I scared? Not really, I am not losing sleep over this..but each day it gets worse, it does begin to occupy a bit more of my mind space. And there isnt much for anything else. So lets cowboy up, fix this stuff, and get back to our regularly scheduled traumas of wardrobe malfunctions and car chases on Fox News.

This nuclear shit has gotta go.

Take care, be safe, buy a bunker.

kidding.

Cincinnati's for Sleeping

Good to be back home now. Tired and sleeping a lot to catch up a bit. I do have both the kids weekend without any other parents, the wife is up in Detroit. So it has been a challenging but emotionally satisfying weekend. Very nice to be with them....

One almost 7, the other 3 1/2...and each time I see them...they are doing something they weren't before. The continous growth is the most amazing part of parenting.

Besides the unending love.

Take care..and have some babies!

Connecticuts for F*cking

SIRIUS
ALT NATION 21

Catchy little jingle...

In Overland Park, Kansas and getting ready to head for the airport. I was a very sober boy this week...got FIFA World Cup for my PSP. I became a shut-in almost immediately following. Did go to the Country Club Plaza near downtown KC last night, and ended at the 75th Street Brewery to watch the Reds tie it up in the top of the ninth...only to lose it in the tenth.

Sucko.

And The World Said Nothing, has been removed from BN.com. The rest will follow. The hits on www.lulu.com/ejwcreations are doing well. As our my hits on LATTE.

Thanks for checking it out.

Happy Birthday America.

www.lulu.com/ejwcreations

Happy Fourth of July.

NEW FEATURE AT LULU.COM! The preview available is much more controlled than with the other outlets. I hope you enjoy the teaser....enough to buy the story anyway.

You can get LATTE for $2.50 in e-book, or less than $9 for a paperback version.

Either way, enjoy.

Latte is a bit out of the horror genre. In fact, it is in the complete opposite place. It is, I suppose, a story of romance. It is still edgy, it is definitely written with the flare that made "that other book", do well. I am anxious for you to read it.

Again, Enjoy.

I am going to Kansas City for the rest of the week. I will be away from my Dell Inspiron, so will be unable to communicate. Talk in a few days...

NOTE TO BLOGGER SUPPORT

My daughter is devestated that my bike and hers cannot be shown side by side.

for the record.

no more posts tonight.

Ok, my daughter thought it only fair to show her picture here as well. She got a bit upset when she looked at my blog as I was reviewing the entry. She told me my bike was lonely...and needed hers here too.

Voila.

The next phase in my weight loss plan. EXERCISE. I got this bike for my birthday. I went on a ride this evening with my daughter. We had a great time. I will be going out some by myself and kicking it to get a few miles a day. I am at 249 now...and though this weekend didn't help my efforts (NO DIETING AS CELEBRATION FOR MY B-DAY) I am excited to have this easy and relaxing way to continue my plan to 220.

Anyway, back to some quality one on one time with my girl!

Happy 4th. almost.

An amazing weekend of SPEED.

Yesterday we went to the hallowed grounds of the indianapolis motor speedway. It was everything I hoped for.

Plus it was a liter of Vodka between me and my buddy. mostly me though. I slept in this morning, and now at 630pm EDT, I feel like a contributing member of society. We met so many friendly people yesterday. From all over our Country to many parts of the world. Italy, Germany, Spain...and thats just who we talked to.

F1 is the number 2 most watched sport in the world. Sadly, in our country it isnt in the top ten. Then again, do you know what the biggest sport in the world is?

SOCCER. Unreal. Americans are different. I am happy as hell to be one, but feel even more happy about the fact that F1 and Soccer are in my top ten. There is a lot of great stuff that goes on outside of this place...open your eyes, look around. You may very well like what you see.

Good luck.
